Training and Preparation Days -Three Peaks Challenge
A 3 Peaks challenge training day on Scafell Pike not only helps you prepare for your challenge physically but also mentally, equipping you with a better chance of success and allowing you to find out how you will cope on the actual event.
Although Scafell Pike is the smallest summit of the three, it is usually found to be the most challenging by three peaks teams. The terrain is very tough, your legs will already be tired from your ascent of Ben Nevis and to add to this you will usually be climbing this mountain during the hours of darkness.
Climb Scafell have helped huge amounts of people achieve the Three Peaks Challenge. We have guided groups around this challenge many times and climbed Scafell Pike hundreds of times both during the day and at night building up a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on to you.
The training and preparation day teaches you skills on how to tackle an adventure challenge including:
You will find out all about Scafell Pike - the route, where the 'hard' sections are and, if you're guiding yourself on a 3 Peaks Challenge then we can show you the areas which are tricky to navigate if the mist is down and give advice on how to tackle it.
We advise that anyone attempting the 3 Peaks Challenge without a guide should be competent with a map and compass, if not then book onto a navigation course. Also read our blog on whether to book a guide or to self-guide yourself.
